Someone made the comment to me today to tread lightly on the Chinese market at the moment, that there was hundreds of manufacturing contracts cancelled last week. My first thought was the high price of metals at the moment, and the trend I’ve been seeing of China claiming a slow down, what seems to be once a quarter.
Keep a watchful eye… If true, this would set the media up to announce a slow down in China just before futures Friday, and heading in to the final quarter of 2010. From what’s happened in the recent past a pull back on precious metal prices is likely to follow, and guess who traditionally buys on these pullbacks….
US steelworkers are launching a war on green energy development in China!
“The U.S. Steelworkers are bringing their petition under Section 301 of U.S. trade law, which authorizes the government to investigate foreign barriers to exports, and the Obama administration has a 45-day review period during which to decide whether to move ahead.”
hmmmm…. wonder if that effected any decisions throughout the world?
